Strategic advice
for complex shipping
and trading decisions

Structure determines outcome

AGW works with owners, traders, lenders, investors and leadership teams when a transaction, structure, exposure or dispute needs clear commercial judgment.

We help clients optimise value and own risk by identifying what may be missed and focus the structures that will deliver.

Senior advisory for complex shipping, freight, oil and LNG trading decisions.

Experience across Oil Major trading and supply networks, P&I, vessel owning, chartering and claims. AGW works where contracts, vessels, cargoes, counterparties and operations meet — with access to a trusted network of specialist expertise where the matter requires it.

Decisions rarely sit within a single discipline.

When a commercial decision needs to be considered through a wider lens — crossing legal, operational, financial or market boundaries.

When assessing a transaction, entering a new market, reviewing an exposure, or seeking an independent view before committing capital or management time.

When the role needed is discreet and practical: to clarify the position, test the assumptions and tailor the value/risk balance.

Complex chartering, trading and operational structures where value, risk and execution needed to be considered together.

Strategic reviews for businesses assessing market entry, operating models, contractual resilience or supply-chain efficiency.

High-value contentious and pre-contentious matters involving cargo, charterparty, counterparty and operational pressure.

Cross-functional work with legal, commercial, trading, finance, insurance and operational teams.

Senior decision-makers in shipping and trading often have lawyers, brokers, operators, insurers and internal teams around them. What is harder to find is independent judgment that connects the whole picture.

AGW provides that judgment: discreet, commercially grounded and informed by decades of direct experience across shipping, freight, energy trading, marine insurance and disputes.
